Ashley Ratigan

I am currently a Software Engineer at Harvest working mostly with React and Ruby on Rails.

I have most recently been building things from front end to back end at Harvest including their new premium features. I enjoy front-end development the most because I love being able to see the direct impact my work has for end users. I am particularly interested in data visualization, and I’ve enjoyed creating projects with D3, React, and other libraries.

My background is in Geology and Archaeology with an emphasis on research and learning. Some of my previous experience includes conducting geology field research in remote North Slope, Alaska, cataloging a new paleontology collection at the American Museum of Natural History in New York, and mapping the biologic response to seismic disturbance at a lagoon in Christchurch, New Zealand.
